I found one for sale and wondered if the group knowledge has an opinion on that piece for my 1969 Coronet 318? From some searching it appears it’s a rebrand of Weiand’s intake but I could be wrong.

How much $ ?

Some,of the Weiand intakes had fitment issues by the distributor which required some grinding to make fit

I have an Action Plus on the 360 LA in my Satellite. It was on the car when I bought it and it seems to work and fit just fine. That said, I think it sits a bit higher than factory so you might have some clearance issues to think about if you are running the stock hood.

When I was using the stock hood, I ran a drop-base air cleaner. I think the stock throttle cable fit fine, but I was running a Holley. If you are using manual choke, the drop-base may interfere with your choke cable, so you'll want to think about that. I'm not sure about the downshift cable. My car had a 904 with a Lokar kick-down cable when I bought it and it never seemed to work right. I swapped to a TKX trans.

About 240 shipped. It looks like it lived on a car for awhile with no obvious signs of grinding, but overall fairly clean.

I'll likely use a carter AFB that I have, it has no choke but ultimately would get one with an electric choke.

That’s a bit much for used intake with no performance data? I think some people have tried and like the knock off air gap intakes in Amazon that I believe are around 160 bucks?

Well its still a good bit cheaper than a new Edelbrock or Weiand. I'm attempting to not go with a knock off or Chinese.

If it was made for summit who do you think made it? My guess Probably china? Maybe if it’s an older one is is made by Weiand and done in USA. Not sure

The ports and port dividers are kind of crappy on the no name Chinese knockoffs.

I bought one to study, not to use. I haven't started/finished taking measurements, but there are some pictures of it in this thread:

The above thread is in the "FBBO News & Political Forum" because almost anything "China" turns political.

Maybe? It was made for Summit by Weiand and I have no idea where Weiand cast their stuff back then, its still closer to a recognizable name than an knockoff. For an under $100 difference that alone is worthwhile to me.

I get an error when I click that link. Is that the thread where someone bought the knockoff and someone else, or maybe the same person, had an Edelbrock that also had casting issues?

The error is because you haven't joined/subscribed to the "FBBO News & Political Forum".

No, I bought the Chinese knockoff intake solely out of curiosity.

One person in my thread remarked about his Edelbrock six pack manifold having crappy ports.
