the contraption sits above the belt. the belt only contacts the thing when it gets distorted at high rpm.

All good checks also look to see if any items will flex as that can throw a belt
also donot roll a belt on loosen so you can place belt on pulleys or you risk breaking a cord in the belt and it can will roll in groove

That is a cool idea. A nylon roller would eliminate any wear on the belt.......................MO

Pulley alignment is an extremely common issue in the Mopar world.

I call it "pulley HELL".

There are so many possible combinations of pulleys, spacers, and even a/c and non a/c water pumps, that it's difficult to make sure you have everything matched and aligned.

Does it look misaligned?
