Vanity Question.... Bumperettes Yay or Nay

I'm not a big fan of the extra chrome. I love the car but think it's more understated and clean w/o them. My vote is nay. And I have all the additional chrome on my X. You asked ..........

I guess this argument goes right along with removing the rear bumper gaps. I fail to see the logic in removing the bumperettes or tightening the rear bumper up against the body. The bumperettes and gaps are there to protect the car, and removing either turns a damage free parking lot collision into hundreds of dollars of bumper or worse body panel damage. Having that "clean" look isn't worth it to me.
