Vehicle title question

I have a 1952 Ford F3 (Sanford and Son) and it has a salvage title. To register it in CA all I need is a lamp and brake cert and I'm thinking it's a similar process throughout the country. If I were to sell it to someone out of state what would one have to do to get it registered? Meaning, is it a big hassle? Extra fees? Expensive? If anyone has some experience or knows something about bringing in a salvage title car from CA I'd like to hear about it.
