Hi all,

I've read over the manual about 100 times, even got my wife to read it over and I still can't work out how to get the dam vent window to sit properly.

The leading edge at the door/base is about right but the top of the vent window is anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2" to high.

I can push it down to about the right height but it just springs back up. There is no bolt in the top lead edge, the bracket on the leading edge is loose (not tightened intentionally), no bolt in the piece at the back of the vent window frame. I've even loosened the bottom stud up on the vent frame arm and I'm still getting resistance when I push down on the top of the vent window.

How do I fix it?!

Can some one explained how to adjust it??

It was all in nice when I got the Coronet, the painter removed the windows as he was a few hours drive away so I left them in. I didn't get the inner brackets back so I had to source replacements. I've replaced the vent window seals. That's all I can see that's different!

I really want to get the window in properly tomorrow so I'd love some help!

There should be an allen head cap screw with a small block behind it accessed through the upper door. Is that still there? I have also found that if you loosen the 3 bolts holding the regulator in place, leave all the back bolts loose, and put some pressure on the crank handle, the whole assembly will pivot off the front mount and raise or lower the top wing.

Hmmm, no Allen head bolt in sight... I'll talk about the drivers door for clarity... Would that be the screw hole through a round window on the top right? Just off the edge of the door card? There was not bolt there, I added one but when I realise the problem I removed it to try and get some more movement.

Great tip on the regulator. I'll try that tomorrow for sure.

Here is a really bad pic of my door in case it helps for describing where seething might be.

The allen screw is accessed through a hole just big enough for the allen wrench - I think 1/4" or smaller. I believe I can see it in your pic. Its in the upper door frame in the area where the long vertical channel is. This bolt also snugs up the inner and outer door shells.

Ok so I have managed to line it up ok. What I had to do was leave the vent window seal tucked into the door opening to allow me to move it down far enough. Is this supposed to lay out over the top of the door like the outside? I assumed so but I can't get it to align if I do...

Also I have no Allen head bolt to block through that tiny hole. Nothing at all. Don't know if the @&$& painter ripped it out and lost that part as we'll or if it never came with it. I have tightened up the two forward mount points and the post/stud that comes up from the top of the door. Is that enough to hold it? Or am I going to have problems down the track?

Thanks Prop Wash, I have the manual, just couldn't get it to work. Not sure if it is right, but tucking the vent window rubber in on the inside has allowed me to get it down. I'll get the rear seal on and do some final tweaks hopefully this weekend.

No problem Malicious. Any way you cut it, window adjustments are always more a pain in the rear than one would expect. Good luck.
