Army National Guard 1989 - present. Full time Guard for the last 13 years. First two years as a 67Y (Cobra Mechanic). Warrant Officer since '92, driving Apaches since '94. Afghanistan 07-08 OEF VII/VIII. Going again soon. Thanks Dad for your service (AFSC 462) in the USAF ('61-'81 including Vietnam) and all others, and their families, for their service!

Thank you for your service Sixt4driver! What I miss the most is the bond, the trust, and the honor between myself, and my Army brothers. I found some of that with my biker brothers. I dont have alot of friends, but the ones I have, I can trust! Remember, "A friend will bail you out of jail. But a BEST friend....Will be sitting next to you saying "Damn.. we fucked up!"

I never got to serve but as a note here in Payson Az we honor our vets each year on Vet's Day by taking them to lunch in our cars. I am VP of the Rim Country Classic Auto Club and on behalf of us I salute you all!

We are about 40 miles from Selfridge NGAFB. But for some reason, we are on an approach route. A few years ago we got the C130s coming over. But they got rid of them and went to tankers. They also had some F-16's, but they got rid of them, and started a squadron of A-10's! One just buzzed us today! We love it! We live in the stix, and to see an A-10 scream by under 5000 feet is a rush! Love you guys! Hope to someday get a "wing-wave" from them.

Air Force from 66 thru 69. I was assigned to the 61st airlift wing at Hickam AFB in Hawaii. Yea, I know, tough duty. When I was there we were still flying C-124 Globemasters. Didn't get anywhere very fast, but we always got there. Flew all over the Pacific in those old birds and they were incredibly reliable. Were just getting some C-141 Starlifters when I discharged. Now they have all been replaced by C-17s.
A big salute to all active duty, retired, and veterans.

US Army 88 -90 active duty. six years reserves. 52 delta power generator mech. went airborne and had a motorcycle wreck during jump week so i got permanently disqualified for airborne. Yes Donny NTC did suck, then i got stuck on railhead detail and had to stay there for an extra 3 weeks loading all vehicles back on the train. Atleast i got to drive every vehicle including tanks we had in the motor pool. Last unit was 197th inf. 4/41st field artillary at FT. Benning Ga. My son is a senior in H.S. and already did his basic training at FT. Benning this past summer. When he graduates this year.... off he goes.
