Vignogna Racing Engines ruined my racing season

My reply is that Vignogna took it upon himself to not call KB and just put on a set of standard Hemi gaskets. I know for a fact that he had them on the shelf. Also what i'm trying to say is Jimmy Vignogna has no experience with Aluminum engines. It's plain to see from 3 motors that he built me that none lasted more than 2 passes.
After the milkshake, I called Ken Black and had to pay for Vignognas ignorance and lack of knowledge of KB blocks.

Well then my reply would be from all your answers so far that KB "did not" inform anyone that their block need special gaskets so they are as much to blame as Vignogna. As for Vignogna building aluminum engines, did "you" do any inquiring before you committed,if not, shame on you !It's easy to point the finger but pointing it in the right direction is sometimes difficult .

Something smells funny with this but I'll reply anyway.
The motor was bought 2nd hand from a fellow racer. It was new never built before. New casting as well as all the parts. NEW!
So Ken Black was not in the equation till after the milk shake.
I called and was informed it needed a new head gasket that was endigenous to only their blocks.
He didn't take responsibility for his knowledge of aluminum blocks.
But theres more to the story, his lack of checking and rechecking his clearances and rushing everything he does led to the whole oil distributor shaft drive. The shaft wasToo short, and he never checked the depth of engagement which caused loss of oil pressure resulting in spun bearings and a lot of internal damage.
Also not tightening Jesel distributor and rotor falling off is also lack of good quality engine building. to get scuffed and rings wiped out due to neglect.

The best was the honing that my cylinders looked like footballs, causing my pistons Facebook and the internet were more important than to build a high dollar Hemi.
So Shame on me for giving this incompetent so called mechanic 4 motors to build without seeing how the 1st one went before giving him any more work.

This is sure starting to sound like the beating of the dead horse theory. Take responsibility for your actions and move on. Just hope you learnt a lesson.

So my other 604 indy hemi's drivers head was never torqued down.
My exhaust valve lash was set at .000. NICE
My intake lash was set at .037 WTF!!
I thought the 6 layers of oil pan gaskets on top of each other and never cleaned off prior to assembly was a sweet touch. It looked like a rainbow when I started peeling off all the layers after the oil pan was leaking like the Valdez.

the entire situation sounds like it sucks, call the bbb, call an attorney, file a formal complaint, wait by his office door and stove his head in with a parking lot post????

Seriously though, there are a bunch of guys out there that suck, find a good one, learn from your mistakes, and move on, take solace in some thoughts of Karma, I believe in it, and I have seen it work a few times.

A kid I had working for me faked a comp claim, sued my insurance company for $53K (idiot could have got way more but like most scum bags went for the first offer because he was stone cold broke), my rates suffered and he screwed me with osha (they combed through my sites for a few weeks, found some extension cords with electric tape on them and an out of date scaffolding inspection decal on a unit I hadn't used in 3 years, it was being used as storage shelving, but they still wrote it up...

ANYWAY, about 2 years later he gets in a dui accident luckily doesn't hurt anyone else but loses his left leg, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but he spit in my secretaries face one night at an applebees, they ran into each other he was talking trash about me and she stood up for me and asked that he not speak to her about non sense, he spat in her face!!! So to me, ol' hop along got what was coming to him, and it was his 3rd dui so he did a lil jail time too....

Karma, she will come around, she seems to never let you down...

Won't happen,too much drama left !!

Drama, I think not people need to be aware of a guy who takes people's hard earned money and delivers a horrible end product.
If you think losing $85,000 in engines is acceptable then you must be one rich guy with very deep pockets.
Since this incident I have surrounded myself only with high quality transmission builders, chassis fabricators, and now a professional engine builder.
This was a very expensive lesson. Before you bring any engines to a shop, look at the surroundings and do your homework.
It took me over 5 hours to take of and clean thoroughly the encrusted shoddy oil pan that was leaking. I was thorough and had it tig welded correctly.

Karma is tough, I just hope people see this post and stay clear of his shop. I really feel ba for the guy who brought a new MP hemi block up there for machining. Boy is he in for a surprise.
His equipment is antiquated, and it doesn't do the job correctly.
Some people need to get into 2015 and stop living in the past.

Brag, sounds to me you're jealous. I work my *** off to have nice things. No vacation time and enjoy my cars and like to race. I'm sorry that I offend you with my cars and builds.
Maybe work harder and stay off the internet and you too could have nice things too.
Give Jimmy V a call.

You're the one who replied to my thread, I didn't tell you to.
