I bought a 1969 Roadrunner. I got to checking #'s and the Vin # at dash, the fender tag and radiator support # all match the Vin #, but the # on trunk lip does not match. Can that be a problem.

Only if you need it to 100% matching. Probably has been replaced at some time in its life. Accident, rot, etc.

I was unaware of VIN stampings on trunk Lip in 1969 and earlier.....
I think that the "so called" VIN numbers on the Trunk Lip are "shipping numbers"
These "Shipping numbers" should be on your build sheet, depending on where your car was built.

68 and down....... order number

69 and up ...... VIN (or partial?)

Ok thanks. Will not be #'s matching cause don't have original motor or trans. Want to convert from auto to 4 or 5 speed manual anyway
