If ANYONE has a picture or information on Anshant Dodge at 18th and Tilghman streets in Allentown, Pennsylvania please post. I walked by this dealership on my way to High School and clearly remember Daytonas and other cool Mopars on the sidewalk overnight at the location. There is very little info about this dealer to be found.
Thanks for the great dealership photos guys. What is amazing to me now is how small some of the dealerships used to be. I remember some of the dealers in the small towns where I grew up only had room for two cars in the showroom and maybe three or four in the shop. Sadly you don't see them anymore.
From the mid 60's to the early 70's it was a labor of love to ' visit ' all the Dodge dealerships within 25 miles every week-end to check out anything new or used that showed up on the lots . You could say that was the beginning of car shows and cruise nights because of all the car guys that showed up to check things out locally . Back then you could street race right in front of the dealerships and no one would care , including the local cops.....ah , the old days...
