I have a questian and was hoping someone could help with it. I am having problems with my gauges so I replaced the the instrument cluster however i cannot figure out what the tab on the top side of the limiter hooks up too as there was not a wire hooked up to it on disassembly not sure if the sending unit (tank) hooks to this tab or 12v voltage??? Thanks for taking time to look at this post.

if I remember correctly in my 68 RR, should be the same in a 68 Satty, there's a wire coming off the brake warning lamp that feeds the voltage limiter it's 12 volt power, it's reduced to 5 volts after that point thru the voltage limiter, to the fuel gauge & temp. gauge... sorry I don't remember the wire color, hope that helps

yes RR is the virtually the same car .... So if I just supply the limiter tab with 12v switched pwr the gauges should work right as stated 12v reduces to 5v through the limiter ??? Thanks for looking at this post...

I think you would want to supply the 12V only when the ignition key is on.............MO
