Ok, so I unplugged stuff from under my dash this morning to diagnose why me blower motor wasn't working. one thing I unplugged was this: DSC_7912.jpgDSC_7913.jpgDSC_7914.jpg I think that is the voltage reducer bit I'm not sure where the condenser looking thing attaches. Is that where it goes?

Yes, it is the voltage regulator. Best to replace with a modern solid state device.

Will it also do away with the condenser looking thing with the wire also? Never mind, I found out what it was.

That is your noise reducer, if you don't want it take it off. Why are you taking your dash apart for a blower motor issue?

that gauge regulator has nothing to do with your blower motor

The blower motor has a board with two resistors on it that control speed. Look at your heater box and find some wires that plug into the side of it. Removing the two screws that hold that board will allow access to the resistors. Note: the resistors look like springs. But of course start with the heater fuse to make sure it isn't blown.

I thought it would make it easier to get to the fan switch. I think now there may be a better way.

I understand that. I mistakenly unplugged it and didn't know what it was.

That's true A383Wing. I am referring to it more and more. But I usually get an answer from this fine group pretty quick.
