Waking up the beast

Had the car out at Island yesterday with Nendra. Car ran best e.t.'s and mph to date. Not before some excitement though. Put a new tach with shift light in and jetted my carbs in the morning. Started the car with the hood open and noticed the engine torqueing. That was odd because I have solid mounts. Looked down and saw the nut and lock washer that holds the mount to the bracket came off at some point. Pulled the mount, cleaned up the threads on the bolt and put it back together just in time to get to the track. So, I have another Amish-bobby picture with my front wheel up.. The car ran my three quickest times. the best one being 11.77@ 114.88

Can't wait to see the difference the subframe connectors make on launch. You waste a lot of torque in twisting that unibody.

I didn't even see the subframe connectors on the car. the obnoxious colors of the zoomies and driveshaft loop blinded my view.
