Actually, this is a pretty good cam

Or if you want something a little more exclusive, I can get you hooked up with one of Bob's "blueprinted" cams:weg:

(you WILL need to change your springs)

I like the looks of that Summit cam. Just a bit more "umph" over a Magnum cam and should work well with my six pack - or anyone looking to improve the factory combo with at least 9.5:1 CR. Think I might stick one in my cart for the collection.

So who's Bob? I recall you mentioned him before. Might have to add one of his cams to the pile as well

summit cam?

Will I have to change my valve springs for the summit cam? It does look nice, anyone know anything about this edelbrock kit part #2087, found it on jegs comes with a dual plane intake which im not fond of,but im sure it could sell it to somone on here dirt cheap, anyones help would be appreciated!

Cam selection should be based on your compression ratio. Do you know for sure your engine is built to 69 specs? I suggest you get it running as is then do a compression test to see what you have. A stock engine should have around 150 PSI. Measuring the intake opening point at the valve with a dial indicator will give you some clue as to what cam you have now.

Most likely the Summit cam will require different springs. Factory Magnum springs should be fine if you have them.

The Edelbrock packages are pretty good and you might want to consider that route as well. Again, pay attention to compression ratio before you buy.

Reminds me of an Albanian joke!
An old Albanian man goes to the eye doctor. The doctor asks him is he can read the 4th line down. The old man says "Read it.....Hell! I know that guy!"

Assuming your car has stock valve springs now, you should change them
