500 cube power plant with a 5 spd manual, if a manual is do-able for you to do. The automatic is fine. I just like to row my own boat. Leave the hood on. Sell the RR hood and roll the cash over into the Satty.

In line dual quads with F.I. and Indy heads. Replace as much steel with aluminium parts add serpentine belts. Mad fat tires in the rear with a spring inboard kit. As wide as you can go. Mini tub your option.

I would not even try to clone a runner. I'd leave the car exactly what it is. Let the badges proudly be displayed as "satellite"

ok i know what i am going to do may take me five years and 20+ grand. original maybe nice but im going to go kinda modern retro style best way to describe it.
she will be wearing the Satellite name proudly. i have decided to use the road runner hood, 426 wedge 727 auto 8 3/4 rear and stagered wheels. and burnt orange paint may take a good year before i am able to really get started. thanks for all the great input.:happy7:

I'm still not done with my Sport Satellite... but I'm basically replacing the 318 with a 383 and will paint it the original color (yellow-gold) with the black vinyl top. I have a fiberglass runner hood that I might use too.

I've thought about different colors over the years, but I know now that I want to stick with the color it was born with.
