on a 440 what would cool better a 6 blade or 8 blade the 6 blade are a little wider. has non ac pulleys on there now. thanks
 
You can put a 20 blade fan on the engine, but ultimately it will be the thermostat's
opening and closing that will effect the cooling! I personally like flex fans because
they move alot of air, and they flatten out at high RPM and use less HP. Remember
to use a fan shroud! They work.

We've had this discussion b4....just HOW MUCH air is "a lot of air" ....in terms of cubic ft/minute @ a specific static pressure, usually in terms inches of water gauge at a specific operating RPM......AND....yes, shrouds are necessary......

The OP asked about water pump, not cooling fan. The water pumps have different numbers of "vanes" which look like blades. Here's a chart for your reference. It's a bit blurry but it can be made out.
