So, I've been scratching my head on this one. I think my housing has been cut where the power steering bracket bolts up. The pictures show that there is a 1/2" gap in the power steering brackets, it is cut at an angle compared to the rest of the holes and it sticks out only 1/4" further than the bolt hole next to it. I bought this one many years ago because I cracked the one that was on my car when it was running. Do I need a different one or am I missing something?

Get the surface flat and make up a bushing/spacer to fill the gap. Its that or find a new housing.

That top should be about 1/16" shorter than the bottom bolt housing. I "just" checked this on Wednesday for a different reason. Your's has definitely been cut or ground.

Yeah, it's 1/2" shorter!

did you break it?
I guess I broke my original one a long time ago when I smashed my car into a tree!! Lol! I bought this one in good faith that it wasn't messed up. I'm sticking to breaking fuel pumps these days.

If you decide to not make a spacer and want to replace it, I have a couple of them. PM me if interested.
