Well, we all gotta go sometime.

Follow the doctor's orders. I hope you’re feeling better with each passing day.

Sorry to hear that! Yeah, Second opinion at the Cleveland Clinic or Mayo??? Something's gotta give? God Bless.

I agree with the others, Steve - get another opinion. Take care and hopefully you can get some better answers.

Prayers sent your way Steve. Find the best Cardiologist you can and get another opinion, you matter.
Insights:
My father had quadruple bypass surgery following a heart attack at 70 yrs old. He's 92 now and just gave up deer hunting 2 yrs ago.
My Brother-in-Law had a heart attack at 43, and was told nothing could be done for his arteries. He's currently 66, still rides his Harleys and has several old cars he works on.
My wife had a heart attack at 42 and was told the same thing as her brother. She's 65 today, rides and cares for her horse every day.
Don't believe them when you're told nothing can be done.
You're still in the shock zone, don't get depressed, I know it's difficult. Maybe more members here can share their own story - don't give up.

Prayer sent.....and ditto on what's already been said. And someone saying "can't be fixed" reminds me of what so many have said in the past but yet things (and people) got fixed anyways.

You are in my family's prayers.
Do NOT let the place you are in, the doctor that told you this news, write you off and accept it. Our medical care in this country has been torn asunder into financial hawks and actual care. You MUST keep making noise until you find a place that wants to provide actual care and not "end of life care".

There are 3 major clinic/companies in WI. One of them is absolutely worthless besides ER triage care. They will get you stable and then tell you "sorry" and ignore you while they figure out the best route to get the most from insurance.
The second is a mix of good care and insurance fraud. At least they won't usually let you die.
The last, provides care and will actually diagnose what is wrong instead of guessing which pill they should prescribe "come back in a couple days if this doesn't work". (actually said this, not kidding, the first place)

A coworkers husband was prescribed pain killers for his back pain. Then he died about a day and a half later from the ruptured bowel he had.
A retired mother of someone I know was told she had arthritis by the local clinic and should take pills the rest of her life. 7 years later she moved, went to her first appointment at the new place, and 15 minutes later an x-ray showed she had a completely worn out hip and zero arthritis.

I could go on.

Right now, in this country, you must be the squeeky wheel until someone finally listens and does something. You keep banging on doors until someone actually answers and wants to help and not cash your insurance money and tell you "you are just too old".

You MUST be pushy and ornery and a general PITA until you find an actual care provider.

We will pray for you. It's all we can do, we aren't the doctors. Just make sure you fight for it, it's your life not theirs.

I would think your kids want you around more than the money and stuff you leave them, keep looking for options.

First off Steve, thanks for sharing this with your forum family.
Out of everything posted, "get another/additional opinions" is the consensus and I am pointing it out here to strongly agree. I have definitely known the benefits of having medical care and treatment by a recognized doctor in a specialized field.
If you need any help finding an outstanding cardiologist, cardiovascular disease center, let me or us know as that alone can be difficult these days.
Praying for the ONE who made us all and holds it all together to show miraculous healing using you as the example, please know we're here for you!
