Went To My Kidney Doctor Today…… Not Good News.

Glad to see your well, doing better
I hope for your sake it's a fast/speedy recovery
you can get back to a normal life as much as possible...

Most excellent!!!! Wishing you a speedy recovery and excellent health! Thanks for keeping us informed.

Good Morning Everyone,

I got another health update and I got good news and bad news. The good news is that my kidney numbers are still coming down and my urine is getting to a lighter red color. The bad news is that it looks like I am spending yet another night here in the hospital, because my liver numbers went up again. At this point I’m not sure when I am going to get the hell out of here. My numbers are in the low 300s now compared to the mid 100s. The doctors said that they are going to change my medication dosages a little bit and figure it out. I’m NOT too happy that I don’t know when I’m going home, but I guess its better to make sure i’m safe and ready to go home then rush it.

Eric, at your age a night under those conditions must seem like a year in regular time. In the future, I hope it ends up looking like a millisecond compared to a lifetime of good results.

Don't rush things, but sucks being in hospital. Spent a month in rehab place for 30 days for an infection in my ankle. Just gotta tough it out.

Hi Again Everyone,

Just letting you all know that the doctors changed up a couple of my medications to see if they make a difference and my nurse today says they plan to release me on Saturday.

sounds like great news

While l know it sucks to stay a bit longer, it's better to be in good shape so you don't have to go back.

Hi Everybody,

Great news! My liver numbers have come down, yesterday they were in the low 300s and now they are in the mid 200s. The doctors actually say I can probably go home today and I will likely get released at 3-5PM EST, but they will check with another liver doctor first to make sure. I will update you all hopefully later on today or tomorrow.

Hi Again Everyone,

I got great news… I’M FINALLY HOME!! They released me at 8 o’clock tonight, but by the time they went over all my discharge instructions and wheel chaired me down to the main lobby it was a little after 9. Now I have to log everything I do such as my weight, how much I pee, and how much exercise I do in a little booklet the gave me. I also have to get bloodwork again on Monday then I go see my surgeon on Thursday.

That is great news! Should change the title of the thread from "not good news" to "Great News"! Stick to the doc's instructions and keep getting better!

That's great news. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. And you're home just in time to watch the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs!

Happy to hear that you're now home Eric.

Going to be a beautiful day today, take the Charger out for a nice cruise, get some sun on your face & fresh air in your lungs, and the purring of the engine in your ears.
