Were Canada cars different in fender tag codes from those in the USA ??

Been deciphering my fender tag...I'm a purist and want my 68'RR to be as accurate as possible.

My trim option is D4S...Deluxe/Split Bench Seats/Silver-Black Interior
paint is PP1...Matador Red

I saw an American 68' RR...D4S...Black Seats...Silver Door Panels/Headliner/Visors...PP1 was Matador Red.
Then I see a Canadian 68' RR...D4S...Silver/Black Seats...Silver Door Panels...Black Headliner/Visors...PP1 was Bright Red.

Is there any credence to this or am I just being picky ??

Hmmmm .... Could restoration be a factor?

The same materials and design scheme was used whether it was built for US, Canada or export. GetX'd is right. It's all about the restoration.
