Not the greatest picture I know. What’s the genuine purpose of the little square access doors held by 2 screws on the inner front fenders ? Im sure to allow access servicing something. I know some Mopar fanatic is going to take this personal. But, It seems pointless and worthless. Unless, I’m missing something ?

Oh nothing personal. Yes you are missing something.

It is for accessing the eccentric nuts when doing a front end alignment. Look on the rear side of the shock tower, see the rubber flaps that come off, allows access to the rear nuts. This way the alignment can be done from under the car. They had these procedures down to minimal time on assembly line.

.... and depending on how much of a kerfuffle changing your rear spark plugs is (with certain headers), they can be helpful for that too.

What’s the easiest way to access behind the front fenders in order to add fender emblems ? Im thinking removing the doors. But, is there an easier way ? Removing fenders is not really an option. Due to one dog leg that I don’t want to disturb.

My later ones stick on with double sided tape. Seems to work pretty good.

Thanks a lot, lol. Need to buy replacements for my car; took them off to save weight, accessibility when racing years ago!

Yeah, I was going to go that route. Tried to find a new set of that kind with no luck. I since bought a new set with pins. My door interiors need painted. So, I might just remove the doors for both reasons.

pearljam724, remove your rear splash shields to access the dog leg area for pin type emblems. Also oldbee, I have a very nicely restored original pair of those inner fender inspection plates w/screws for 66-70 b bodies. Start a conversation. Thanks

Don't know if your car has access to inner fenders like my '63 does. There are cover plates bolted in the fender wells you can remove to get behind the fender to access the emblems and the antenna.

Thank you, guys. I was able to install them both today. That made things very easy.

Yeah, imo, don't remove the doors unless you have to and if you do, leave the hinges attached to the body....that is if they are still in good shape and don't need anything done to them. It's not real easy to realign the doors with the fenders on the car.
