My uncle also used to say-

"Hop to it".

I hated that phrase and every time he used it I made sure to move more slowly than usual.

Apparently that was popular in the late 50's-early 60's, as I was watching a Godzilla movie (not the first one but maybe the second or third) and that phrase was used as the Japanese army troops were deploying to their positions while Godzilla approached.
