What a bad day

If the neighbor left a note (letter), she took responsibility. That's a good neighbor, regardless. Her auto insurance will cover this...provided she has insurance. Good luck with the repairs.

It doesn't sound to me like the note was left immediately.... i.e. they came home... no indication as to how or what happened... called the cops (as you or I would do) and then at some point after that the neighbour left a note...

IMO a good neighbour would have left the note immediately (or better off watched for someone to come home to immediately come over and apologize) It doesn't sound to me like she owned up out of conscience more like she realized the tracks led right back to her driveway and she would inevitably be found out.

further to that with the police report being filed should there be any issue with insurance or her paying out of pocket you stand a way better chance in court

She didn't say anything to me or anyone til after I was already home for 4 hours and I was coming home from picking up food ......if she didn't "catch" me outside coming in I don't think she would have actually said anything

She left a letter.....I had to cops come and take a report, I couldn't-didn't want to talk to her cause nothing nice was going to come from my mouth

By your post I was under the impression she had left the letter prior to the cops getting there.

Holy Cow!
Vandalisim!

Okay, not vandalisim but gee, you think she'd walk over and tell ya...!

it dosent matter when they owned up to it , they did and that is what matters . you must have been pissed take deep breaths and take care of it could have been alot worse . car could have been in the house on top of some one or just through the wall .

like I said to the cop if the car would have been over 10 feet it would have been rite into the same area as where my car is in the garage and then I really would have freaked out ...

Does your neighbor know that you have an explosive temper? These days I try to remain pretty calm but have a firm grip on the situation and deal with the problem sternly. My first comment is to ask them who should I send the repair bill to...them or their insurance company or both. I've learned that freaking out isn't good for my health and well being. Yeah, that kind of stuff still pisses me off but going postal just clouds my thinking.

Nah nobody around here knows about me and my issues except for my wife ...Ive punched numerous holes in walls, doors etc broken knuckles and other bones punching things

I consider myself fortunate in that my immediate neighbors and I all have each others phone numbers. Should something unfortunate happen, I am confident courtesy calls would be made.

I have/had phone numbers with just about everyone out here but the newest and youngest neighbors are pretty much aholes with my immediate neighbor's being the biggest ones. They think they can do anything they want at any time but shame on me if I do that. Well, anything they can do I can do it bigger lol One day when their 4 dogs were barking for hours on end, I started making a ton of noise by beating on an old Camaro hood and the 'mom' came out and yelled at me that all I was doing was bothering her kids. Oh really? Make your dogs shut up and I'll stop because your dogs are bothering my kids and they don't even live here :D She looked at me like I was crazy and that was what I was trying to do and I guess it worked. She put her dogs up.
