What are your goals for this season??

So that's quite an accomplishment, in your mind however I'd be more inclined to think that a 10 second time slip would've be something to toot your horn about.
Many years ago my small block 340 Valiant ran 11.08 first time out with a hydraulic MP cam (it was a .533 cam-Purple Shaft) and then a progressed to 10.80. It weighed 3200 lbs with me in it.
So I believe you have some work to do to really do justice to utilize all those cubes.
You are absolutely correct. This was only the second time to the track for the car. I haven't even touched the tuneup on the motor and still working on the suspension. In just two outings I've made really good gains. You were quite a bit lighter than me. I'm 3,560 with me in the seat. There's at least 3/10 of the difference...

Do you have a roll bar in your car? If not unfortunately that will add more weight. But it will stiffen the car and make it utilize the torque more efficiently. Your 60 ft time could be something to address as well.

I always want to run a new best every year...accomplished that a few weeks ago.
I like to run at a new track I've never been to before every year (or try to atleast)...did that 2 weeks ago. Might as well do it again, lol.

Haha! Now who would do something silly like that?!
Isn't it funny how some people BUY a finished car, start tuning on it and it SLOWS DOWN and is NEVER as fast as it was with the previous owner?! That's gotta hurt!
LMOFL!! You forgot that was with more cubic inches,,,,and dollars:rofl::rofl:

Got a good start to the season with a runner-up in the 80 car Field of "PRO-STREET" class at Muscle Cars at the Strip in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago.
Goal is to run consistant 10.60's and compete in "D-Gas" (which is the 10.60 heads up racing class) as well as entering 2 classes at each race...D-Gas and HOT ROD Eliminator which is straight bracket racing which dials from 9.60 to 12.00 and I will dial in on that at 10.60 (or so).
Hope to get consistant on the tree with .0X0 (.030, .040, .050, etc etc). If I can do that consistantly I can win some money this year. My car is deadly consistant.
It will run within .05 of the first run of the day, all day.
At the big race in Las Vegas my first time trial run on Friday was a 10.85 (it was slower than my 10.60's at Famoso, CA because of heat and altitude of Las Vegas)
and so I dialed in at 10.84 for the Pro-Street Class and the car ran between 10.845 and 10.860 all 7 rounds....I dialed in at 10.84 knowing that even running hard I wouldnt break out...and I never ran under the 10.84 in any of the 7 rounds of racing.

Had a great day today , 3rd round of track championship . Got the WIN after 5 rounds of racing . Smashed a 0.005 light in the final when i needed it especially as i turned the tyres . Hot in the low 90's . A long day . This is Super Street dyo , 11.00-12.99 , no box but transbrake ok . I footbrake .
Also picked up best reaction time a couple of weeks ago at Day of the Drags , nostalgia meeting

Tex....Good Job !!!!

Win the lottery so I can build another car, like I use to run....LOL

or just have no issues this spring & summer, spend less on the house,
so I can focus on my car & truck, not everyone else's issues/needs...

I'm looking for a 8 second time slip too.
Who will get theres 1st.?

Until you paint that stump puller and get in the mid 10', you have no say whatsoever Mark
