What Cam and other questions...512 Stroker RB Block

Thanks! I have a Lunati Bracketmaster in my Coronet and I like it....No issues. Good to hear they got such a Vet on the floor

I would definately consult the professionals (Comp Cams, Hughes, Cam Motion.....)on what it is you want out of the engine combination. My 440/512 is going to be a daily driver with the occassional 1320 venture. I called Comp Cams and they asked very specific questions about the vehicle and engine combination. I settled on a hydraulic roller with advertised duration of 281/287, @ .050 the duration is 230/236, and the lift with a 1.6 rocker will be 622/625. Other specs are 109 lobe centerline and 111 lobe separation. It comes down to what you want, like Burger King.

If you just gotta wuss out, here's what I would recommend.

Hay now, that is the cam I'm using in my 512 (ok its actually 505, only 0.030" over) :)
The 440 source kit with 17cc dished pistons, zero deck block, and 84cc head came out to 10.3:1 compression.
I am using 1.7:1 rocker arms, so valve lift is 0.617"/0.614", and I used the ISKY 8005A valve springs.
RPM intake and 770 cfm Holley. The intake/carb are only temporary till I can afford fuel injection.
The cam should make tuning the FI setup easier.
The small 1-7/8" TTI headers make fitment and changing spark plugs easier. I went with the TTI 2.5" "X" exhaust in case I want to goto a quieter muffler. I could not find any quiet 3" mufflers? The super turbo mufflers in the TTI kit sound good, but at 3,500+ RPM highway speed (4.10:1 rear gears) they get annoying. I will see if the 5-speed trans (Keisler 700SS) will help when I get it.
