What Did You Car Look Like When You Found It

313359_433116500101110_1978482637_n.jpg i found here in that shape. Love on the first sight....

this what the Coronet looked like when I bought it. Don't let the picture fool you. The paint was about as smooth sandpaper, the interior had jean material glued to the old seats, and the carpet was glued down with the same tile cement. the rear quarters on the drivers side was hand formed and was an epic fail.

My ride before I loaded it up. 14 hour trip that should have only took 6 hours! First, lost the nut on the bottom of my hitch ball on the freeway in San Jose! Empty trailer was going everywhere. Very scary! Luckily no accidents. $60 for a new hitch and back on the road to get my baby! Then on the way home, stop in some little Podunk town to use the restroom, get back in the truck, drive 10 feet and truck dies. Its a sunday and NOTHING is open. 150 miles from home, getting dark. Thank God for the local firestation and google! Found the problem, fixed and got back on the road. That would have been an expensive tow, because I was not leaving my baby by herself! It was all worth it in the end!

Bumperman, it has the original 440 with 4 speed manual tranny. Was thinking new Hemi, but I am now leaning towards stroking the 440!

Not a B-body; but this is what my car looked like when I got it a couple weeks ago...

71 Charger SE 383 N code converted into a mouse motel and quarters patched with dirt to save on bondo. Removed three layers of paint and primer and is now back to it's original light gunmetal metallic-A4. Sprayed it in my driveway. Sorry didn't see it was the 66-70 section till after I had posted!
