What did you do to your Mopar today?

Got the gauge cluster back from JC Auto. They did a really nice job. Installed the cluster and trim pad today. Tomorrow the switch plate.

Anybody that's replaced a gauge cluster knows it's almost impossible to secure the pin harness to the PCB; there's just not enough room. So the wife got underneath the dash and installed it for me. Pretty cool. Of course I helped by holding the bezel steady.

My car is still being held hostage at paint shop. After I get it (2 weeks to go) I'll swap pumpkin/axles & be ready to cruise!

it was $95 each to paint the gauges and polish the bezel; $65 to calibrate the fuel gauge, $75 to clean the PCB and solder the connector pins; $185 for the speedo. Total $515 + shipping.

my god ... what a killer day .... still to much salt on the roads for my likeing ... but did take sally outside opened up trunk hood and windows and let her sit in the sun .... cracked open a coors ... sat on the deck and just looked at her ... god she is beautiful. there is just something about maw mopar. ain't a dog in the bunch ... till the 80s anyway .... lol she makes me feel good .... makes my life a better thing .... iv had some fords and chevy's in the past i liked ... but none of them made me just sit and stare. .... sorry no pics .... phone died ....

Brought the '55 Plymouth wagon home from the body shop with its new driver side floor, new passenger rocker panel, NOS tailgate painted and installed, rusted out lip in front of the cowl vent replaced, and the battery shelf replaced.

orderd a horn button ... its for a 66 fury but it will work till i find the correct one .... and only 30 bucks

Wonder how many colors they came in? Mine is tan to go with gold interior. Had a black one that came with a black interior, sold it for $20.

seen them in red but not on a wood grain. .. and if ya come across the rite one for a 66 wood grain let me know ... and can ya post a pic of your's

Tan one on ebay 2/3 months ago. Think it sold for a $125. Only one I've seen in last 8 months, been looking for anicer one but not seriously .

Called the Rear End Shop & diff is ready.
My new axles got here today.
The paint-guy called and my car is ready.
I am going to get it tomorrow and can hardly contain my joy!!

YES!
The simple 'touch-up' turned into a months-long-ordeal and I wasn't expecting it back until the first week of March.
I've been missing it for so long and am so happy for all this good news in one day that I won't be able to sleep tonite.
Will post pics when I get my baby back
