wow...an 85 GLH Omni didn't think there was any of those left! good for you for keeping that alive. I put a bushing in the right side lower control arm on the fury and drove that for the first time this year, than sunday did a t stat in the challenger and took that out for a ride....spring is creeping in here in jersey

They were...the only one I personally ever drove was a customers at work, it was there for some minor stuff very plain silver had a crome something on the motor. It was carbed. I was totally amazed at how well it ran. I had my hands and wrenches on LOTs of FWD mopars turbo and non turbos.... that one ran...

Over the last few days, I:
- Got pissed at the car for not starting yet again
- Decided to finally replace the failing bulkhead connector
- Pulled the dash cluster and steering wheel
- Stared in awe at the number of splices, add-a-taps, loose wires going nowhere, bare wires, and “mystery grounds”
- Ordered a new American Autowire harness
- pulled the seats and carpet, because the carpet was gross and “I already have it this far apart”
- Decided to replace the floor pans too!
I knew the floors had issues just from the underside view but once the carpet came up it was obvious just how crusty they are. Someone had laid in some fiberglass mat previously as well.
I have floor pans on order and started cutting out the old. Drivers side needs a full replacement. Passenger side is ok behind the front seat mounts. Rockers seem really solid, so that’s a nice surprise.
I’m looking forward to the job(s) but just bummed that it will be a while before I get to drive it again.

Bought a new Demon 750 CFM carburetor for my 440 project. I know, I'm way behind the goal that I set for myself in the fall. But I did save some bucks on the purchace.

Pulled gas tank. Filler tube grommet leaks , have a new one on the way. Also bought a set of Craiger SS. Getting rid of my draglites.

Got my custom Viking crusader shocks in today.
The Satellite landed today, ben putting a sure-grip in. Started it up and took a short ride to see if gear setup was ok and a couple of short burnouts. All good. Had a little hubcap adventure or the hubcap did. Turned around in a parking lot headed home no hard turns or anything. Going 40 mph the tinkle of a drivers side front hub on my left. It was in the opposite lane, no one come (whew) it headed in a drive up on the curb and I was to far ahead to see exactly where it stopped. There is a culvert with fist size rocks on the slope to stop erosion. If it went down there I'd have to get my gopher, I can't walk on that stuff. Turned around came back and the hubcap stopped just under metal guard rail. Hubcap has been on a couple of years, think I've had that one do that 20 years ago. Came down a steep hill and a rolling stop at the bottom and a sharp turn on to a level road flexed the wheel and popped to hubcap. Hubcap in pic 2 on floor in theback seat.

Got tired of waiting for additional hands, so I installed the rear bumper alone. Turned out to be one of the easiest things I've done on the car.
Now I need the hands to adjust and tighten...along with the rear valance. Don't wanna scratch that or the quarters.

I used a chair when I did mine...
Sometimes doing things yourself is easier than you thought.

Go to put gas tank in my 65 OOPS, put a sump in center where strap goes. So cut strap just before sump. Buy 1/2" square tube cut two 8" pieces weld cut strap from front of car to square tube. At each end of tube add a strap to get past sump. Weld on second tube to the two straps. Then weld back strap that goes to rear of car, the right length. After that crap the tank install wasn't so bad.
