What did you do to your Mopar today?

I cracked open my re-curved distributor (MSD) to find it was set up to be all in right off idle. Now it has a light silver & light blue spring and is much, MUCH better.
I still need to change bushings though.

Trans bracket installed and undercoating.

I made and just installed a 12* bushing for my distributor.
Car is warmed up now, guess what I'm doing next...:bananadance:

Since its so cold out, all I did was install the gas tank.
It took some gruntin and groaning and being careful, but she's in.

I continued a bit on my stroker 340 build for my 73 Road Runner - it will displace 416 cubes when done.
I measured the rods from the Skat stroker kit. WTF! They are over spec (too loose) out of the box! So I will need to tighten them up a bit to get them where they need to be. Damn it. More work that shouldn't be needed, but it will likely be a bigger hassle to exchange them and hope for a better set.

The pistons were nice though. I weighed each one and had a maximum difference of 1 gram between the lightest and heaviest piston. 3 of them were at the lightest weight, so I need to grind out 0.5 gram out of 2 pistons and 1.0 gram out of 3.

Then I also worked on setting up to deck my block. Mopar blocks are known to NOT be very square, but this one is actually very nice! There is only a .002 difference from one end of the block to the other, and a .005 difference inside to outside. The other bank of cylinders is actually more consistent and nearly perfectly square (although .001 low) from reference.
So about a .007 cut on each side should clean it up nicely! I will try to complete the cut next week when I go back to my father-in-law's.

Now that all of the dirty work is done, I did a thorough cleaning and am trying to keep it clean.
I don't do any grinding or sanding of parts in that garage - I have a smaller garage attached to my house I can do that kind of work in.
