:iamwithstupid: those were crazy times for Super Stock in the NHRA & other sanctioning bodies, they went from low N/A 11's to Blown Injected running 8's in a single season, scary kind of if you think about it, they didn't know what would actually happen until they actually did it... especially when the AWB cars were added to the FX cars... A/FX AWB, was the birth of Funny Car... only a couple years before the 67 GTX came outKinda surprised the 'founding fathers' didn't mention anything about the 'X' classes in drag racing.....meaning experimental. When the factories were coming out with the 'crazy' cars, there wasn't a class for them so the FX (factory experimental) classes were opened.
