What does the oil pressure sensor look like?

Ok damn I have no wires hidden loose in the engine bay for the sensor with a blade connector on the end of it. The oil gauge does have wires connected in the dash just wondering how do I locate these in the bay? Looks like the sensor was never installed when the engine was rebuilt, I can see where the sensor should go as just a bolt in its place, gonna need long skinny arms!!

The wires you are pointing to appear to go to voltage regulator and the ballast resistor.
Aside from crawling under the dash and looking at the harness to see what colour wire goes to gauge in dash, then tracing the wire to the firewall plug, then counting the position going into engine compartment finding the corresponding wire and tracing it back to the sender area.
You have the option to do this or locate the factory service manual online and down load wiring diagram and trace wires using that.
Or look online for a pic of an unmolested engine bay of your car and see if you can find the wire in question
I cant believe some rumdumb would cut the sender wire, it might be wrapped up in the loom thats on the firewall, just hidden and taped up.

Here's a link to the factory service manuals...

Here's the wiring diagram for the Charger engine bay. As stated above, it's a grey wire coming out of the bulk head. You say the gauge has wires to it, hopefully if the grey wire is cut it's simply a matter of splicing a new one or plugging a new one into the bulk head.

(I didn't see where you specified the year of your charger, so I posted 66, which should be same as far as oil sender. 67 is also available on mymopar.)

I found the lovely grey wire thanks to you guys telling me what to look for. I think the new sensor should go here but there is some sort of hose already connected. Am I close?

Ok the first pic is your vacuum line that goes inside of car for hvac would be my guess, unless you have hidden headlights then that line might go to vac canister. There should be an opposite port onthe back of the block to your current oil pressure line. Not sure what that bolt is on top of the block right by your sender. You might want to unscrew it maybe you get luck and thats an oil port, and all you need is an adapter to screw your sender in. If for some reason you dont have the extra 1/8" pipe plug, you are going to have to get some pipe fittings to extend the port out so you can put your sender on. So you might want to get a straight piece of pipe then a "t" fitting to put your current oil pressure sender on and at the end of the "t" screw in your new sender. So where was your grey wire hiding lol

Ok I got the sensor to fit, jeez glad I do yoga!!

The other bolt was a much larger tread can I get an adaptor to make it take a smaller tread so I can run both oil gauge systems?

Still no joy on the factory oil gauge kicking back into life. Anything else I can try before taking the dash out again?

Grey wire was lovingly tucked into the loom with a very fresh connector on the end. So halfway there!

Glad I know that's a vac hose now, must be for the air con.

Other than tracing the gray wire to thr gauge to make sure you have continuity from sender to gauge itself, use a multi meter for that test. If you have juice to gauge. You are more than likely going to have to pull cluster and look at that gauge real good. There is a way to hookup a small battery to temporarily give gauge power to see if needle moves. Ive never have done this, so you may want to inquire with others for correct testing. I think the fsm goes into detail somewhat on how to adjust gauge itself. Youd have to disect the cluster to get to gauge. Just make sure cluster has a good ground
