Sweet, I was looking for some 2 inch primary headers for my Satellite with TF270s! didn't want to spend TTi type money.

Took the motor out of the 65 to fix some small issues that have been bugging me.

No major issues discovered. Need to renew the crosshatch. Throw in new rings, rod bearings, cam bearings, rear main seal while apart.

Ordered roller cam, solid rollers, springs, button, bronze gear drive from FHO.
Machine work is done and parts are here so start assembly this weekend.
Pulled the trans too. Filled it with A&A parts and a brake for giggles.

Deviating a little to Mopar's redheaded step brother this winter. I picked this little V8 Hornet up really cheap because the engine was seized. Turning it into a vintage style desert racer for the street. And I thought Mopar parts were getting hard to find! I feel sorry for our AMC brothers.

Those are great rigs. I beat the heck out of one in the mountains and desert around here for years.

Went from Eddy RPM heads on my 505 to -1 325 cnc. After i took .030 off both sides of the AndyF billet valley plate, I dbl checked that there was enough space with the new heads so they wouldnt ride on the plate.
All good there.....but the crossover on the underside of my Indy 2D intake hit's the valley plate.
So I either need to cut the crossover off or find another intake....

Took the MW (steel) heads to Dough Meyers' to have Smokey do a new competition valve job. Old job was at least 15 years old and prolly 250 passes. Said the old one was beat up. At the same time, I had them add titanium locks, retainers, and a new set of valve springs. Trying to chase down a high end miss that plagued my season last year. I didn't take photos of the current job, so the photo attached is one that Joe Grippo took at Cecil County at the end of last season. Hoping to go 10.80's or better this year!

Givin the 3,900 pound weight and 3.54 gear....i'm not sure on intake choice.
Pump gas, .600 inch...260/268@50 flat tappet cam....my M1 and 2D both have std port while my -1 heads are max wedge size.
With the 8" convertor the car flashes to 5,000 off the line. I got 11.0's with the M1 and about the same with the 2D.
Wondering if the M1 would be better with the -1 cnc heads.?

I figured it was a given that when you put the -1 heads on that you opened the 2D up to MW size.

I don’t see the point in running MW sized heads with a std sized manifold on them.

IMO there are two suitable intake choices for you...... the 2D at MW size, or the 337.
