What is everyone working on in the off season.

Was at a show in a grass field. Guy loading his car on to a trailer had to "show off". Trailer was 100' away put a huge cloud of dirt in the air and ripped up the grass. Farmington Polo Grounds wasn't happy I bet.

No where to go , nothing to do I HATE COVID19...put about 90 mi on my baby ....

Debating on buying a four post hoist to get Charger #2 in the garage and start doing metal work and paint engine bay. Engine is done, on the far right. 440 with FAST EFI.

If you’ve got room for a 4 post hoist there’s no debating. On mine I even fabricated a rotisserie attachment that bolts to it. it's a game changer.
When you’re ready to work on that charger, just bring it down.

Nice, I have no where near that much room which is why I need to start stacking them.

Finishing 2020 off working on my MP Cross Ram for the Hemi, will carry right on into 2021.

I picked up this MP Hemi Cross Ram recently. The fellow I got it from had purchased it new for his Hemi Super Bee over 20 years ago, never used, unopened and in his basement the entire time. This intake was still in it’s original box, wrapped in April 2000 Chicago Tribune newspaper. I call it my barn find.

Making a plan to open up the runner entrances inside. What a mass of aluminum and I can see why it’s said that these intakes leave HP on the table. Check out the centre port bolt boss interference.

Lots of hours spent already. Long ways to go, lots of port match work required to make this intake work. Epoxy work is now getting underway but not shown.

Also building a couple of burst valves for the intake right away.

My buddy is mastering anodizing so the burst valves became test mules.

This cross ram is exactly what the winter project Dart needed. While the RB single with the 1250 Dominator made good power, it can’t touch the cool factor of a Cross Ram with a pair of 770 Holleys. This is what’s going on during my off season.

Got a 1965 satellite getting a new driveshaft built, new u joints and yoke, also replaced the tailshaft housing bushing cause I am chasing darn vibrations.
Fixed my very loose steering pot connector this should make a big improvement along with the hellwig sway bar I just order.
Good thing I got all winter to do this cause I just noticed on there advertising may take up to seven weeks before it arrives. Installed a four speed last winter interesting job with surprises along the way.

I am hoping to (finally) finish my 65 Belvedere I drag car. I stripped the engine compartment down and primed everything after welding a few spots. I replaced the inside floor and trunk pans. I am putting it together to resemble a 65 super stocker. Not a replica, I just like the looks of those cars.

Going to be a great looking car I'm sure I got a black one 440 standard shift installed last winter

Transmission is back together, one last check before the pan goes on.

Transmission is in and engine limiters have been fabricated and installed.

All back together. A new shifter with rear cable exit is on order so a little more work to do underneath yet.

Cross ram port match work next up. The bell crank boss turned out to be the perfect spot to hook onto. That’s the latest going on over here.

Keep on torqueing xram bolts, until gaskets are compressed. it doesn't hurt to checking periodically. It's a pain with the MP manifold. Friend had a bolt get caught by intake valve, but damaged seat head and piston.

What make headers are those?

These are Hemi TTI’s for A body. They sure fit nice. Drivers side is a step process though: 1-starter in place and connected. 2- header bolted in place. 3- strg box installed from the front. 4- pitman arm installed onto strg box 5- steering linkage install. 6- torsion bar install.

You wont regret those .
Swapped out my trans 2 weeks ago . Sixty became erratic and a pinch slow . Back to footbrakecwith small 5000 converter . Damn havent footbraked in 3 years . Plus have more hp so am having to leave @ 1500 used to leave @ 2400 . Certainly hurts sixty/et not leaving @ 4500 . Probably run fbrake for rest of year . Converter will have to go back to A1 on west coast .

Those Vikings are cool

Looking forward to playing with them. The car already hooks on a well prepped track but looking to improve on less than perfect tracks and the street. These are the Crusaders valved for Drag radial cars making over 600 HP.
