What older folks do for a thrill...

I usually back off when the third mph digit appears on the Garmin or when Linda carries on too much. She won't hold the phone, both hands are straight out gripping the dash - like that would help.
I gotta give mine credit, although I think she tries to remain quiet because she doesn't want me to see the fear.
I think I scare her most in our late model Charger R/T when I "show the cars' capabilities" to her. :)

"When I did that again in this video, she shuts off the video and says "you can be a real *** sometimes".
GAWD that sounds familiar......
car sounds great!!
Thanks!
Yeah, she comes by the chop-busting business naturally. Her mama is like that - on steroids. :)

Noooo humor at all from the better-half!
At best, she tolerates all this Mopar stuff, moreso because she knows it's important to me.
That said, she loves her late model Charger R/T, so I guess I can't fuss too much.

Now that I listen again, there could a noise coming from rt.rear torsion bar anchor; oops might have been from a certain person instead!
Guilty as charged.
I do make more noise than the car does these days. :)

After the ignition changes I made recently, Ole Brutus is so much fun to drive. 4 speed and "spirited" acceleration thru the gears. I want my wifey to enjoy it with me, but she says if I launch it, she doesn't want to be in the car. I guess the rear yoke breaking with a loud bang and the other noise that goes with it, and the tow home in the dark, was not her idea of having fun. That kind of stuff never used to bother her in the old days..............MO

Awww well, that's ok too. I guess if it wasn't for modern rides being so much better at creature comforts and all....
Heck, our 2012 Charger R/T has all the bells and whistles but "only" the base hemi in it (370hp), yet it runs a 13.9 sec 1/4 at over 4000 lbs.!
Wife loves that thing to death. I admit it, it's sure nicer than my old pickups and hotrods and such - but you don't really have a sense of speed in the thing.

In these old rides, you feel every dang MPH - and I love that. :)
