MOCAJAVA, the pic is okay as long as your project doesn't end up like that when finished

GPuller, the specs on the engine are 440, bored .030, @ 10 to 1 forged pistons, Lunati roller .515/.530, 270/278 dur. The Trick Flow heads were worth the 6 week wait. I was #9 on the list so others out there are happy too. The heads are finished very well, much better than the Edelbrocks. The rockers are PRW 1.5, push rods are from Smith Bros. here in my home town. I installed the PROMAX base and metering plates in the carbs, Doug's headers arrive tomorrow with Borla mufflers and 3" pipes going over the Dana rear. When done, this 70 super bee will match my Torred 69 road runner, I call them the birds and the bees.

Hashmaker....Very nice. Make sure to get the chrome off the bottom-side of the thermostat housing.

Remove the chrome from the bottom of the thermostat housing... is that why they seem to ooze and leak?

Progress is slow going but we are getting everything hooked up. Plugs, Firecore 50 ignition wires, Dougs headers, alt. P/S connected. Here are more pics.View attachment 313250
I've been waiting for 5 weeks for the throttle linkage, that should be in this week I was told. That and the fuel pump push rod, more wiring, radiator, hoses it will be time to start her up. Got the Promax parts in the carbs & the recommended jets to begin with. Does anyone know of an aluminum after market air cleaner?

I know of a fiberglass aftermarket piece, but not aluminum.

Make sure to check the phasing on distributor. Are you staying with RR hood or 6 bbl hood?

How do the Doug's fit, I bought a brand new set of ceramic coated 2" primaries/ 3 1/2" collector for $300 but have been worried about fitment....Don't need 2"ers but couldn't afford to pass up. Everything is looking badazzzz, keep us posted!

Thanks for the tip on phasing the distributor, 69 GTX.

Mike67, Doug's headers D452 fit great. They clear all other parts but are a job to put in. Dropping the drag link from the pitman arm and idler arm is a pain, pull the plugs, and motor mount bolts so you can rock the engine, pull the dipstick tube. Most headers sets require a mini starter, once you have cleared the way they fit great.
