I had a blast and best of all nothing broke!

Maybe try some bias ply slicks instead of the drag radials on the next outing to help the 60 foot times? Looks like your car likes to be shifted at 5,500 like mine. I've had people at the track remark that it sounds like I'm shifting way too early but I tell them that's where it stops pulling so that's where I shift, I slow down if I try to shift it at 6,000.

Sounds like a fun time. I'm going next on October 6. Can't wait.

this is how my 64 Sport Fury is. anything over 5500 rpm was wasted. Your mph seems low to me. That car should be capable of mid 12s. Just a thought, My first run was 13.2 and with just tuning, and trying different carbs, I got down to 12.12 @110. This with less gear, carb, and convertor. So I'm saying there's more in that car, you need to keep testing and trying different things to see what your car likes.

your combo sounds very much like i had on my 66 coronet, it ran 12.4 @ 110 the only real difference(other than the weight) was the induction, I ran a 750 on an M1. you did say it bogged off the line, too much carb? also what size are the drag radials? if you dont have much sidewall you will have a problem hooking all that power.

What tire pressure? Also anything you can do to up your compression will help a bunch. Also light rear wheels.
