i have the opportunity to buy either of these cars.

1. 1968 plymouth GTX
2. 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 easy superbee clone....
3. 1971 Dodge Charger R/T

What would be your choice? Me personally I like all three cars, very cool pieces of MOPAR...tell me what you think????

I would buy the 68 GTX probably... not for any other reasoning except, 1968 is my favorite year in most any Mopar... I've been threatening to build a 71 Charger R/T too, so I think it would all come down to whats the better project, deal, combo, rust, parts included, engine, trans, etc....LOL.... Hell I like & have had them all !!

68 GTX:icon_thumleft:

Well, my favorite Mopar is the 69 SuperBee, so I would have to say the Coronet. But I've always like the GTXs and a 71 Charger R/T is nothing to sneeze at either.

me too i love the tailight section of the 69 coronet, but the charger is awesome machine. but the gtx is a great car too....

Geez. 68 gtx is a mighty fine machine. As they all are. Depends on what you want to do I suppose. If you want a show car with the right VIN then i would say the gtx or r/t. If you are not so much worried about that and wanna have a car to drive the hell out of without worrying about rcking up miles or tearing up your investment go with the coronet. Man, of these 3 cars, if this is the toughest decision you have to make, i want your life.

i know its a tough decision, the only reason I have a choice is cause the seller is going to be doing a payment plan with me while I get parts and build my garage up. so this payment plan works great for me. I think the GTX would be a great daily driver also and the coronet would be fun too. thanks for your advice...

my thinking has always to always go with actual "badge" cars so all things being equal (don't know if they are) if you ever sell they are real muscle cars v clones and my experience has always been they are not just someone's project but a "bona fide" pedigree'd muscle car. I don't know what your plans, car condition, situation, documentation, etc are and I can't tell the future and neither can you so take whatever get's posted here, internalize it, do some price research, look at finished pics of cars, and use your imagination. Good luck with whatever you decide! :)

1969 dodge coronet ... lethal looking machine ..had a chance to trade for one last year that was already cloned and passed because it was an automatic..........another regret in life :eusa_wall:...there beginning to pile up

whatever you buy
stay away from a clone,
unless it comes at a very deep discount.

To me, a 71 B-body looks like a pregnat E-body. I also recommend staying away from the clone; so the '68 GTX wins.
