Guys I have a 1969 383 engine with a build date of 6/10/69 currently it's missing the oil pan and intake, and the heads are removed but I have them.
this engine came with a car I bought and from the looks of it don't think it has been run in a long time. Not sure what to ask for it, any Ideas?

Pictures are a big help, but I would guess anywhere from 100 bucks to 500 or so depending on how it looks inside and the demand for them are in your area.

it is stamped on the flat pad just in front of the distributor hole.should be stamped E 383 and the HP will be there to.E stands for 1969

I bought mine for 100 bucks. Machine work already done to the block and a standard polished steel crank. Although it is a non HP bare block, ALL machine work was done. All I had to do was put cam bearings and freeze plugs in it, clean it one last time and put it together. Although I am going to get the block decked for my build. 383s just don't bring a whole lot because everybody wants a stroker these days. 383 stroker pistons are available, but they are not cheap.

Thanks for the info guys, I looked and this engine had a R stamped on it, so did the 68 block beside of it. However the numbers matching engine to my car does have HP stamped on it
