Hey gang I have hunted down and located a 67' sport satellite convertible ! This will be my first drop top so I'm not quite sure about price differences between hard top and drop top! Its an original 383 4brl auto on the column car color is white with red interior if that matters ! Its all their except original motor it has been stored inside not much rust if any looks to me a good cleaning would go along way ! Asking price is 5500.00 I think that's a fair price what say you guys thanks!:headbang:

I think if it's relatively straight, little to no rust & it's all there, that would be a great price for a 67 Satty convertible,
out here anyway...
is it still a runner/driver, just with a different engine ?? with OEM engine stored

NADA guide says it's worth
{with a 325hp Super Commando 383 4bbl}
$7400 low {as a driver quality} & $22,000 high, a little more if it had AC

No bud its not running and hasn't for many years but it has been inside a barn unfortunately with the top down but I still looks very good ! He's asking the 5500.00 without a motor but that's no biggie on my part I'll just have to dig one of my dads out ! Might be able to use the no motor part to get him to drop the price !

It is an a/c car ! And a sport sattie not just a plain Jane sattie!

more the better, that bumps it up another $500-$1000 with AC,
they didn't show a difference with reg. Sat & Sport Sats, just engine levels, HT, Conv., AC, 4speed etc.

fingers crossed I think I can get it for 4500.00 or maybe a little less!:headbang:

Yes sorry I know ! Left my phone in the pickup so sorry !

pictures are everything. convertibles are notorious for rusting. its all going to matter (to me anyway) how much of the floors, rails and trunk are left

its all the little stuff that adds up. just because its there doesn't mean its any good. its sounds good, but in order to give good opinions, we need to see as much of it as we can. it may be a 1500 dollar car , or it may be a score

Understood for sure from what I could see ( hard to get to cars pliled all around it) floors are solid pulled the carpet up and looked at kick paneles and no rust but the being said I wasn't able to crawl under it and look at frame rails, shackles, so on! The seller is supposed to be getting it pulled out of the shed for me to take a better look !

sounds like it may be something. post some pics when you get a chance. there are still deals out there , but they are drying up fast lol

What it's worth is 100% subjective, what you'll pay for it is 100% objective, so focus on the later. :) Aside from rust, the big thing with convertibles are the top mechanisms. Does it work perfectly? If no it's gonna be expensive to repair. Also it's a Satellite, not a GTX, so that effects the price along with the fact these cars aren't much in demand except by a limited market of collectors.

All that said, two years ago I saw a 67 Satellite convertible, all body work and roof done, minus drive train and needing interior work, listing for $6,900 and that was with a second hard top Satellite thrown in as a parts car. Unless the car is rust free, 100% there, and the top works, I would start at $1,500 and settle somewhere below $3,000.

Never go by NADA or KBB. Neither are accurate measurements based on analysis of actual sales data. They are estimates that are produced by auto dealers for auto dealers and have no connection to real markets. :)

Thanks I agree with almost 100% of what you said only little disagreement would be sport sattilite vrs GTX ! Sure a GTX would be more but to us in the know do know that the spot satty will have just as many options as a GTX and possibly more ! Seeing as this one is an original 383 car that would almost be a push vs a GTX in my eyes anyway! MHOP! But I do thank you for pointing out the top motor I did some pricing and yeah not cheap! As far as top condition I have no idea as it is down best case cenerio I would be in like new condition fingers crossed !:3gears:

so im wondering the value of my car its 1969 plymouth 4 door satellite sport. almost no rust like a 2x4in on trunk.. has 318 not sure about trans also power steering and a/c full interior needs work but i would like to know any input on what the value is worth..i have the hood. and the all pics are on my profile

Your car as a collectible Mopar is worth about what the tow would cost, but to someone looking for an ADAM-12 replica car, and there are quite a few of those folks out there, they would pay the most. I've seen this folks paying up to $5k for a good car to use as a replica.

Just remember that perception of value is in your eyes and not the eyes of about 99% of the car buyers out there, which is a good thing for you. Demand for 67 and older cars has always been low, and a lot of cars that were restored during the gravy days are coming back on the market. These are two points you'll want to make to the seller. Bottom line is there aren't going to be a lot of folks beating a path to his door for this car even in good condition especially at that price as they can pay a little more and get one in great shape. If he was wanting that much money he should have sold about six years ago.

I love the 67 plymouth convertibles and had the chance to buy one three years ago. It was a good driver with a wheezy 273ci...and the price was around what you are looking to pay for the 383 car. So based on that I think it's potentially a good deal.

What made me keep looking was the cost of what it needed. It was a new england car so there was rust. Also a lot of the chrome trim pieces on these cars are really really expensive. When I calculated it all out I was going to be into it way more for what I could even remotely sell it for if I had to, and that was just what I could see.

Thanks I will definitely keep the current market value of the 66-67 b-bodys! Im with you on this I do this as a labor of love and a hobby i don't look to fix them and flip them ! Sure the 66-67 b-bodys aren't as popular as 68-70 cars but I have always wanted a b-body drop top and I like the body style so im gonna try and get ! Ill stick with your number for a price range just hope I don't piss the guy off that is always my fear of offering such a lower number then hes asking!:headbang:

39093929635.375176035.IM1.02.565x421_A.563x421.jpgWell so much for the 67' drop top being my new project !:eusa_doh: had to keep the wife happy and bought this garage and gas hog ! Uggggg o well better to keep her happy!IMG_20140711_180912412_HDR.jpg

such is life
you've no doubt heard the saying
"a happy wife, is a happy life",

should have got a Durango R/T Hemi or Grand Cherokee SRT8 Hemi version maybe...LOL

Go with you're gut... look it all over and make a fair offer. I love the 67 year.. it's the last year with a hint if the days of the fins and the last of the boxy style and the first of the coke bottle curves it's a transitional style 66-67 style had the emergence of the look across the grille that says charger... the shape that everyone recognize as king muscle car.... I love 4door cars sleepers.... I paid $500 more than the asking price of $5500 for my 67 coronet 440 because I have never seen one as original and as factory fresh even with 56,000 miles... all the grease pencil marks are there and paint markings.... If I didn't intend to drive and enjoy zhe car it could be a concourse grade car 100% original with a small amount of rust in all the places they rust. I have every part with a 66 date code except the certicard... also the reason I paid an extra $500 was because I didn't expect to buy a car.... I came across it and had to have it.... for the project and because I have no car the PO agreed to accept my offer ant also to take payments holding the car till I made the last payment... now a year or so later I'm in the thick of it having given it my run through.... a dream come true.... if it's about flipping cars for some for money.... I see that as a prostitute they only diminish the craft pumping cars out with no true love of what these cars represent.... to each there own.

In case it hasn't been mentioned- no such thing as "sport" for 67 satellite.

This price guide is pretty dang close, despite some inaccuracies in a few circumstances-

http://www.collectorcarmarket.com/collector-car/prices/1967-plymouth-satellite-value.html

I'm now on my fifth 66/67 b body, and my first Plymouth of that genre.

Lookin' forward to it!

Pics, pics, pics.

...and I just LOVE the fact that you can "easily" find a "numbers matching" engine for pre-1968.5 cars.
