With Lawson people would typically pay nothing because it might be piggy-backed with ordered consumables and you will find their products in almost every and any kind of shop and office building.
What's the average 'mileage' for a 4" cut off death wheel?

I've had pretty good luck with the HF brand wheels.
I agree that the angle, the force applied, and even where on the disk the work rides in relation to the arbor all can effect how long it lasts.
FYI- I saw those Lennox coated metal wheels at Lowes the other day. I was intrigued and had never seen them before.
Twice I've used a 10" concrete wheel in a table saw to cut metal siding.
Not the easiest thing to do, but effective.
