On mine, 275-60/15's w/ 15x8 welds w 4" offset. Still had some room to get a finger on the outer and close to 2" at the springs. Same wheels on the front but 235-60-15 on the tires.
I ran a 285R70/15 on my Dodge way back in the day. The tubs were stock but had the leafs moved in closer to the frame rails and an offset shackle from MP. 15 X 8's.
These are 30 x 9's on my 63 in my stock wheelwells. I could fit a 31 x 10 in there with no trouble. A little wider may even fit but it would most likely rub on turns though. Ron
I measured the fender to spring opening on my 64 sport fury and came up with 13.1". If you use a wheel with 4.5 rear spacing that should put the wheel close to center as possible . When choosing a tire, tire width is most important thing to watch. I am looking at getting an American racing wheel (Torq Thrust D) 15X 8X 4.5" back spacing and using M/H tire mss-001. Also measure both fender wells for clearance. Mopar manual states that there can be up to 3/4" difference between sides. A275X15 X60 will work with no problems assuming your wheel has 4.5 back spacing. Hope this helps !
Keep in mind that the stock 1964 taper flanged rear axle is about an inch wider than the 1965 flat flange axles that are a popular swap into the earlier cars. That will make a difference if things are tight.
