Which Carb?

I bought a Edelbrock 650 #1805 on ebay for $303 new including shipping and guess what the seller is out of stock. You guys have talked me into holding off on buying a carb until spring when I can play with the distributor. I know FBO sells recurved distributors.

Bought a PerTronics D142700 Flame Thrower Distributor. Can't wait to install it and adjust once it is spring (that won't be until April/May!).

Neat distributor, you can adjust the mechanical rate and limit without taking the distributor apart and it is two wires. Should work great with my MSD box.

My recommendation is the Edelbrock AFB.

me too. they are the easiest to tune.
theres probably nothing wrong with your carb.
i've been using them for 30 yearts now.

PerTronics D142700 Flame Thrower Distributor

This distributor solved all my issues. The 750 Edelbrock carb now works great. Set timing at 12 initial with 24 mechanical for total of 36. I also am now running a vacum advance. Very nice.

It is true! Timing first. Carb second.
