I prefer Summit Racing super turbo mufflers.. Sound just like Flowmaster 44's but only cost $25 a muffler!

I've had Flowmaster 40 and 50 series mostly.

Going for Dynomax this time around with a 3" TTi system and cutouts after hearing Dynomaxes on my buddy's '67 Belvedere. Really nice sound to them.

None of the above. I'm running tti 1-7/8" headers with a 3" dia. exhaust system and Magnaflow mufflers on my '69 383 road runner. I'll be going back to Pure Stock form soon and will run factory manifolds, 2.5" pipe and Magnaflow mufflers once again. Performance vs. price best bang for the buck IMO.

I am getting ready to replace the exhaust system on my 67 GTX. I do not want a loud muffler but i want something louder than stock that will flow better. What are you all using, Flowmaster, Magnaflow or something else ? Thanks

I have a set of flowmaster 40 series on the Bee and it's loud, proud, and all that but after 4000 miles on the 05 power tour I installed a set of 50 series (three chambers design) on my 64 Fury plus a true X pipe and it sounds great PLUS the interior noise is better then half of the 40 series and no resonance.

No one here has ever done a full system without mufflers? :( Don't have a hot rod at the moment but both my diesel pickup and my V6 Dakota have straights on them. Going on 11 years for the diesel and about 6 years on the Dakota....

Another thing I like about the Dyno-Max Ultra-Flows is they flow good. I race thru the pipes out to the rear of my car and I have never uncapped it so I am pleased with the sound and performance of the Ultra-Flows. Ron

Ran Dynomax on my 68 GTX and they were a nice sound with no resonating....sound even better with your foot through the firewall.

After reading dozens of muffler prefrences... it would appear Dyno max amd flow masters are the choice.... Can anyone vouch for SPINTECH SUPER PRO STREET MUFFLERS...
This is the best sounding muffler I have ever heard period.... I really want to throw a set of these on my 440, but would like to hear from anyone who has had experience with these or know someone who runs them.

bang for the buck-any hemi muffler will sound great and flow fine--have hemi mufflers on my 67x -with stock exhaust pipes 2.5 and hooker super comp 2" tubes quiet up front but nice cam music at the tips-can't call the name right now have been on the car so long.

Got a kick out of "import fart can muffler", but i always have liked Flowmasters, the Cherry Bombs are junk.

Three inch pipe all the way back with 18" Dynamax Racing Bullets under the trunk.... Loud as heck and the balls to prove it....:icon_biggrin: Well, it is a MOPAR after all.....:icon_super:

I just ordered a pair of Dynomax Ultraflo to replace the Flowmaster 50s I currently have on my Plymouth. Two reasons driving me to change. First I recently found that my header evac check valves were not functioning and allowing pressure pulses back up into the motor. After talking to Moroso, they feel the reason the check valves failed prematurely is bacause of the back pressure from the mufflers. This is why they do not recommend the use of mufflers with these systems. However, further research showed me that a number of others successfully run mufflers with these systems - but they use straight through mufflers with very low back pressure. While I knew the Flow 50s would have a good bit of back pressure I never realized just how much until I compared them to other types of mufflers in studies that I found. While the 50s are three chamber mufflers they did very little to keep my car quiet - as my neighbors will attest to. The car is very loud with 3" tubes running the length of the car. The other reason I am switching to the Dynomax aside from the significantly reduced backpressure is that all indications I find show they should be more quiet on my car - which is another plus for me. While I have the muffs put on next week I will also install an H pipe which should also help with both sound and lowered back pressure pulses.

My big learnings from this are that more restriction in a muff doesn't not equate to less sound unless comparing in the same type of muffler. Straight through glass packs have the least restriction of any type of muffler and yet can be more quiet than baffled mufflers like Flowmaster who are designed to make noise!

My buddy just put Dynomax mufflers with 2.5" TTi pipes and headers on his '67 Belvedere. He's very pleased, and the car sounds awesome to me. Definitely louder than stock.

I've had nothing but Flowmasters on my Mopars- '68 Charger, '72 Demon and '95 Ram. They've all been loud. Honestly, after hearing my buddy's Belvedere, I'd consider going the route he did.

So I bought a 3" system from tti with Dynomaxes, along with their headers. Also planning to install cut outs. The 522 has to breathe.

The cost of TTI's on their site is for a pair or one? Wanna try with magnaflows $849 + $130 yikes
