Which would you take, for free?

never liked the wing cars....... I'll take the R/T, but would prefer any 69 500

So the second owner of Max let me scan the pictures he took when he brought Max home in 1976. There's a picture of the girl that became his wife and in the background is his AAR 'Cuda. So which would I rather have? Um, AAR 'Cuda or Max Wedge, AAR or Max? I think I would still pick the Max but, um, OH I dunno!
Where is the pic? We need pics!!!!

Not a huge fan of the wing cars, 440 727 is not a turnoff though.
Therefore, the hemi makes it a no-brainer for me.
But like eldub440, a 69 charger 500 would be my pick (hemi/727 please. Turquoise, while we're at it).

great minds think alike

four speed charger all the way, no looking back. I am biased, not a Hemi, but a big block four speed Charger can do no wrong!

I saw a 69 Charger 500 for sale one time in Houston circa 1987. it was rusty, and was sitting on a tall bank to keep it from a flood of some type. I worked for ENRON at the time. He wanted $2,500 for it. I thought, for that? yuk!
go figure

Daytona.
No offence to the regular chargers out there.

depends, what color is the charger and does it come with a flag, or is it one of those boring plain ones?

Currently I have to say the 440 auto Daytona. Only because I am fortunate enough to have aquired my RT. While not even looking for an old Mopar, nevermind one with all of its original equipment, this numbers matching 440 rt 4 speed appeared out of nowhere. I made an impulse buy and got lucky.
Hell, I wasn't even aware enough at the time of the purchase to worry about its originality (all but the exterior paint). I just always loved the '69 model. One of my best buds had one in HS. We lived in that car (not literally) and we felt real bad ***!
Doubtful that I'll be lucky enough again to be gifted a wing car!

Daytona

I'll take the 4-speed car. Now, Steve-O... when may I expect delivery ? :D

I think I would take the Daytona and pull the 440 TorqueFlite and put a Hemi 4 speed in with a 2.71 Suregrip. I want to find out how fast it really would go! Of course keep the 440 and TF on a display stand.

@Cojohnso1 Attached are the pictures as requested. The girlfriend to be wife and the AAR and the second owner with Max.

I’ll take the 440. It’s most likely faster too. Wing cars will always be worth more too just because of the history. Most Hemis run like crap anyway. Hardly anyone knows how to properly tune one, they run hot and are thirsty! I’ve seen 383 cars out run Hemi cars. I’ve never had a slow 440!
