White interior kick panel color

My 72 RR was converted to white interior by the previous owner and the kick panels are white. My E-body buddy was telling me that the E-bodies with white interior has black kick panels, I was trying to find out if mine were supposed to be white or black?

70 white interior has black kick panels (for whatever that’s worth)

Kick panels on a white interior would match the carpet and dash color (usually, but not always black).

Maybe build your car the way you want it. White kick panels seem like a big mistake to me whether Ma Mopar designed it that way or not. Drive it twice and they'll have black "kick" marks all over them. I would go with black on that combo unless you're going for a 200 point restoration that will never be driven.

Cracks me up how many guys on here think whatever was original is best. Mopar f@cked up just as many things as they got right.
