The Swoose escaped the forgottenness of the Smithsonian, and is resting at Wright Patt awaiting her turn, hopefully after The Memphis Belle is done.

so many lost and so many forgotten what a shame one day in time and the same will happen to you and me forgotten in time just a thing in the past just dust

I'm thankful for what was saved....a lot of it is because of General Arnold.But soooo much was lost. There was a ton of Japanese and German aircraft lost to the torch, many went to Wright Patt for evaluation. And many that were saved suffered to vandals and weather. Think of how the car hobby goes ape over a survivor car. How about if The Memphis Belle was in the same condition it was when Robert morgan flew her home from England?
