Ski, are the blades on a V-22 aluminum or composite?Okay
Allegedly, 10th or 11th of September "WE" lost a "Advanced Technology Aircraft" somewhere in the Desert between Edwards/Nevada range....
No one is talking....
Anyone hear anything?
Air Vehicle was "Piloted"
Pilot died.
Tonopah, NV?
I'm game, composite would be my bet, don't especially like the Osprey; too many problems. Great idea but???Ski, are the blades on a V-22 aluminum or composite?
Graphite and fiberglass according to the Bell/Boeing page on that aircraft. http://www.eaton.com/ecm/groups/public/@pub/@eaton/@aero/documents/content/ct_195937.pdfSki, are the blades on a V-22 aluminum or composite?

Yeah, a lot of parts to go wrong....i don't like helicopters, have only been on a total of 4 in my life....last was a taildragger Sikorsky S-58, radial engine. It was in 95, a ship i kept all the plexi polished on. An air lift outfit, installed a lot of AC units on hi-rise bldgs. Being it was an antique ship, i couldn't pass up the opportunity to ride on it. Holy Cow, that puppy shook like a dog shakin off water. Instrument panel was spring loaded & bangin both sides of the fuselage on take off.I'm game, composite would be my bet, don't especially like the Osprey; too many problems. Great idea but???
Osprey, Photon already dug up a link....apparently thw blades are graphite & fiberglass. On the F-22?

F-22 is uh...something else...?
