Shouldn't have, but I did, a search on Brew. Managed to get peeved all over again, on the deal. One photo of her at an airshow.
I was the engineman on Brew, the handful of years that Tims owned her.
CAF pretty much stole her from us. Of our crew of five, including Tims, only one was a full time CAF member, a paper hanger deluxe! After hitting hard ($) times, Brew was donated to the CAF, stipulating we still crewed her. Our personal paper hanger sent word to headquarters, a bomb threat was made against the airplane. CAF decided to take her away from us!
Remember an ole boy named Mike Clark? Super bowl Cowboy place kicker? Yeah, we knew each other. Mike was also a flyboy for the CAF, got orders to fly Brew out, and called me, to let me know about it. LOL!
Me? Drove to the airport, jerked a mag off, and started driving out. Saw Mike driving in, stopped as he asked me if Brew was in flying shape. Nope! Got a bad mag, it's at the house, since I'm re-building it! Of course, he had no choice but to go back home.

I took this shot of the P-51D Mustang "GLAMOURS GAL" at the American Airpower Museum, Farmingdale N,Y, Republic Airport. This was a engine purge to clear the cylinders for a restart .standing on the wing is one amazing pilot Navy retired Dale Snodgrass. If you have the time look him up and his flying career.
