In the early sixties a civilian panted BC was parked at a small civil airport near me in Toledo Ohio. I never saw it move and wondered what happend to it. I went to a warbird forum a while back on face book and one member searched old registrations and indeed it was registered and a second one also East of here. However one of the two came to grief and the second one went to The Kalamazoo Air Zoo where it was restored to flying condition. I was told there was no way to find out if the bird I saw was the one restored or wrecked.
