Spitfire looks nice with no paint.
If development had continued without jets, the next Supermarine fighter was to be the Spiteful. With the Griffon engine and new wings somewhat similar to the Mustang, it could reach 483 mph. However, due to jet advances only forty of them were built.

Interestingly, this same plane was also morphed into a jet powered version, called the Attacker. Travelling at 590 mph, about 180 examples were built.

what a difference between the first one and the last one , where did all the weight come from ? it's "fat"

The jet was about 1,000 pounds heavier, but it's not all fat. Putting the engine behind the pilot in the fuselage meant for a wider cross section.

That's an Air Tractor AT-802 owned by Aero Spray, Inc in Appleton, MN.
It made a wheels up landing in FL back in March.
