Who Likes Aircraft ?

I'm not a pilot but that just looked too close for comfort to me. I know a few people who are and have asked if I would like to go up. I politely refuse and tell them I am afraid of heights/flying, which I am not. (I have driven in their cars with them and prefer not to do that anymore either!) Like we both stated, who knows what communications were had.

From the FAA:

"A near midair collision is defined as an incident associated with the operation of an aircraft in which a possibility of collision occurs as a result of proximity of less than 500 feet to another aircraft, or a report is received from a pilot or a flight crewmember stating that a collision hazard existed."

I guess I broke that rule every time I did a A/R? But we would declare MARSA with ATC before proceeding.
MARSSA= Military Assumes Responsibility for Safe Separation of Aircraft.
